Comprent ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data of our users. This policy complies with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).

1. Data We Collect

We collect data necessary to deliver our compliance software:

  • Account Information: Name, email address, password, and subscription history.
  • Property Data: Addresses, property types, and compliance details.
  • Tenant Information: As a landlord (Data Controller), you may input tenant names and contact details. Comprent acts as a Data Processor for this information.
  • Uploaded Documents: Gas safety certificates, EICRs, and related file metadata.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used strictly for delivering the Comprent platform:

  • Calculating compliance scores and tracking statutory deadlines.
  • Processing subscription payments and preventing fraudulent access.
  • Dispatching automated email reminders (when configured).
We never sell your data or use tenant PII for marketing purposes.

3. Third-Party Sub-processors

  • Supabase / AWS: Secure database hosting and document storage.
  • Stripe: Subscription payment processing. No raw card data is stored on Comprent servers.
  • Resend: Transactional compliance emails.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

You may delete any property, tenancy, or document at any time from your dashboard. To permanently close your account, use the Delete Account function in Settings.

Upon account deletion, Comprent permanently destroys your profile, all associated properties, task history, tenancies, and uploaded documents — in compliance with GDPR Right to Erasure.

5. Security

We implement Row-Level Security (RLS) on our databases, ensuring your property and tenant data is strictly isolated from other users. All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.

6. Landlord Responsibilities

When using Comprent, you act as the Data Controller for your tenants' personal information. It is your legal responsibility to ensure you have lawful basis to input tenant details into our platform.
